Alex is a freshwater scientist at EOS Ecology, with eight years research experience working in freshwater systems and several authored or co-authored peer-reviewed journal papers under his belt.

Since completing his PhD in 2007 investigating the impacts of reduced stream flow on habitat and aquatic invertebrates, he has worked on assessing the impacts of water takes on macroinvertebrate communities, fish barrier identification and prioritisation for repair, various macroinvertebrate and habitat surveys, and identifying sediment sources in urban streams.
