Technical Assistance
Base management and maintenance will be a crucial role based on member's previous experience at Campbell Island. Specific tasks will be day to day base-camp management, radio communications, safety issues, search and rescue procedures, and helping to engender a spirit of common purpose.
A DOC representative will accompany the team to Campbell Island as part of the expedition’s research permit requirements. Their role will be to ensure the conditions of the permits are maintained, as well as to use their local knowledge and skills in assisting the expedition in their research.

Few people know the Campbell Island terrain and untracked areas as well as Mark; he is an island expert in terms of climate, island conditions, and expedition team management. |
Jo will be the Department of Conservation (DOC) representative and will assist the team with their field research as well oversee the expedition’s research permit requirements. |

Steve has been a registered plumber for over 20 years, and has helped maintain the Met Service stations on islands such as Raoul and Campbell islands. |
